DIY Shockmounts for Small or Large Microphones - I made three for about $12.

Materials
- 3" PVC Pipe, cut in 2.5 -3 Inch lengths - These form the base
- Elastic -found at same hardware store - Feed these through the holes to form the shock
- Mic Clip - cut off the excess material and screw to the PVC using
- Small tapping screws.
Tools:
- Saws:, I used a 10" Chop Saw to cut the PVC and a small dremel to cut the mic clip
- Drill - hand or Drill Press,
- Screwdriver
- Scissors

Notes:
- Lenght - You can make these longer for big mics and greater stability or shorter for better access to pad/rolloff switches
- Holes - Closer together gives better strength, but makes it toougher to squeeze around big mics
- Adjustable
- I used two pieces of elastic, though you could use more or less.
You can loosen or tighten the elastic for fit.
- Mods: I'm considering
