AKG
3000 (2)
large-diaphragm cardioid condenser. I've got one silver
and one black. These are the older model with a -10db
pad, LF roll-off and a card/hyper-cardiod pattern. I love
all the switches for the versatility. I've had moved these
up Ceiling mounted goosenecks's for room mics and was switching
between these with the ECM omni's.
I've since freed these up and use them on
I generally apply them on the Piano (I'm hoping to score
a AMT M40), but I used these for Drum Overheads as well
as for Upright Bass, Room Mics and voice.

snares especially with brushes. I like it on Sax, Acoustic
Guitar and Piano , I'm no longer using this on the Hi-Hat

as well.

Studio Project C4 (pair)
I love small condensors and these are excellent!
They get used on Piano, Overheads and guitars; with the omni caps, they
work as great as spaced pairs room mics or in a M/S configuration.

These are my Drum Overheads. I occasionaly use them on
acoustic guitar. I've recently scored a second pair and have mounted them inside my upright
piano, I hear they work really well as tom mics... I'd love to get the hyper-cardiod
and omni caps.
